As principal of northern Shores Elementary School, I am fortunate to have John Tice on our instructional staff.  During the 2009-2010 school year, I purchased his Science for Success interactive notebook for all five classes of fifth grade students.  The results have been amazing.  Out of 130 students, 100% passed our first local science benchmark.  All but two students passed the second local science benchmark resulting in an overall 99.2% pass rate!  Reactions from students, other fifth grade teachers, and our parent community has been nothing but enthusiastic regarding this new supplemental text.  We WILL repeat the purchase next year!
